Grace Ferber

Learning Specialist

Grace Ferber was lucky enough to be raised in San Luis Obispo, where her parents and older brother taught her the joy of learning at a young age. Growing up, her family would spend time reading together, visiting museums, and observing plants and animals on local trails or in the garden. Grace earned both her B.A. in Human Development Sciences and her master's degree in Education from UC San Diego. During college, she volunteered and taught in seven different schools in San Diego County, exploring inclusive curriculum design. Grace originally trained to be an English teacher, but her deepest passion is disability and inclusion. She joined the SLOCA team in 2026 and sees SLOCA's curricula and programs as exceptional foundations for positive child development. In her free time, Grace is always looking for ways to practice creativity—practicing the ukulele, guitar, or banjo, learning how to arrange musical compositions, writing fiction, and even learning to make her own clothes.
