Jenna Burns

UMS Logic Teacher & Curriculum Coordinator

Jenna Burns, our UMS Logic Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator, grew up on the Central Coast — of Oregon, that is. Since childhood, she's loved learning, and one high school English teacher in particular encouraged her pursuit of education and the classics. Jenna graduated from Cal Poly with a Bachelor's in English and received her teaching credential in English from CSU Monterey Bay. Before joining SLOCA in 2010, Jenna taught at a public middle school in King City. She was drawn to SLOCA's small class sizes, tight-knit community, and commitment to classical education, which elevates and dignifies the child, inviting them to join the conversation that has engaged the greatest minds throughout history. In her free time, Jenna continues her study of the classics through The Catherine Project and plays games with her kids.
