Who wants to be at school when they’re not there? Jessica Street does. When she was little, the San Jose native would play “school” at home because she loved it that much. She joined the SLOCA staff in 2023 after working at camps and school programs aimed at elementary-age children. It was the sense of community that made Jessica want to work at SLOCA. For her, the feeling of having a tight-knit family is very important to making anything work, especially in a school setting. At the moment, Jessica is finishing a degree in Liberal Studies at CSU Chico and plans to become an elementary school teacher. When not working, you can find her hanging out with her cat, Kiwi, and her dog, Cooper, or at her favorite place — Disneyland.
