Katie Baker
Primary Learning Leader
Katie Baker loves animals and education. Growing up in Stockton, CA, she learned to ride horses and eventually began helping with lessons for younger students. She then continued her learning journey at the University of the Pacific, where she majored in Liberal Arts and earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Katie later earned a master’s degree in Education from Cal Poly. For years, she worked as an education specialist with the San Luis Coastal Unified School District. She joined SLOCA in 2024, a fan of the school’s enthusiastic community of lifelong learners and the deep respect for each individual’s learning process. When not working, Katie can be found reading, surrounded by—what else?—animals, of course.
