Krysten (Kryss) Clark has been writing since she was young enough to hold a pencil. The Central Coast native grew up captivated by literature and poetry. Before joining SLOCA in 2025, Kryss worked in corporate retail but found the work did not fully align with her values. SLOCA stood out because of its mission and impact. For Kryss, managing a nonprofit thrift store that helps fund children's education allows her to combine leadership, community service, and purpose in a way that is both meaningful and fulfilling. In her free time, Kryss is still writing—currently working on a fiction trilogy she hopes to publish soon.
