Nice Office Lady, Office Coordinator, + Volunteer Coordinator

Lora holds a certificate in Hospitality and business from the San Joaquin Valley College and grew up in the Central Valley. For a while she was the Volunteer Coordinator for the Morro Bay Monday Night Dinners and an Outreach Specialist working for CAPSLO. In addition to this, she worked for the National Park Service for 20 years, and even has her Real Estate License! In June of 2022 she took her love for working as a team with and around kiddos, and became one of SLOCA’s NOLs (Nice Office Ladies)! To her, the position sounded like a great fit, and we agree! She loves working in a joyful place that also happens to teach Latin. Around the time she started her college journey, Lora remembers her love of learning really growing. It was in college that she could explore all sorts of new opportunities, and took many classes here and there, but always enjoyed the psychology classes the most. Outside of the office she enjoys serving her community, being a Lion’s Club Board Member, walking her dogs, shopping, and of course, spending time in the great outdoors! It sounds like her love for learning is still alive and well, as she has a dream to go to Bible College and would love to learn how to use a potter’s wheel, though those don’t have to happen at the same time.
