As a young child in the small city of Grand Island, Nebraska, Michele Bruntz remembers the vast number of books in her house—a home where curiosity was encouraged and explored. No wonder then that Michele went on to earn her B.A. in Elementary Education at the University of Nebraska. After relocating to California, she was eager to join the fantastic staff at SLOCA in 2019 because of the community they help create and the joy of learning they bring to families. She especially loves the idea of presenting history through literature. In her spare time, she and her family love a good adventure–weekly trips to the beach are a must. In the future, Michele would like to publish her very own children’s book.
