Mike Grimshaw

If you’ve been part of the SLOCA community for a while, you probably know Mike Grimshaw. For years, Mike has been a dedicated SLOCA parent and served on the safety team, in the athletics department, and as a volunteer, but this is his first year as an official SLOCA employee. Growing up, Mike moved around a lot, but one constant was reading. His mother routinely read to him, ensuring there was always a book and learning opportunities available. Mike graduated from the University of North Florida with a B.S. in Communications and went on to complete his master’s in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School. After working for the Navy for 25 years as a cryptologist, Mike and his family moved back to Morro Bay and fell in love with the personal education experience offered at SLOCA. Outside of work, you can probably find Mike on the court or on the field. Whether it’s officiating, coaching, watching, cheering, or playing, his appetite for sports is insatiable.
