Like many at SLOCA, Miranda Martinez discovered her love of learning through reading. A Santa Maria native, the library quickly became her favorite place in the world. She earned degrees in accounting and business management from Hancock College and worked for a nonprofit in Seattle before joining SLOCA in 2018. She is inspired by the school’s meaningful mission to support families and foster children’s growth. To Miranda, classical education—and its focus on developing the whole child—makes perfect sense. In her free time, she enjoys improving her French, volunteering in the community, and pursuing creative interests such as photography, piano, and writing.
