Miriam Marcuse-Kubitza

Early Childhood Aide

From the moment Miriam Marcuse-Kubitza started reading, her imagination took flight. Originally from Goleta, she earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts from Hampshire College. Before joining SLOCA in 2023, she worked as the assistant department manager at Sprouts Farmers Market. Her passion for lifelong learning, combined with a background in alternative educational philosophies, drew her to SLOCA. She loves how the school emphasizes literary knowledge, education for life, and building a respectful community. Outside the classroom, Miriam can usually be found outdoors—on her little ranch in Santa Margarita, soaking up the sun, dancing to a wide variety of music, and exploring new places with her partner.
