ROBERT KOON

Athletics Director

Robert is joining our SLOCA team as our new Athletic Director. He loves what SLOCA stands for academically and as a community and is excited to help students grow that sense of community through athletics! He was raised in California and later received a Bachelors in Sociology and a Masters in Athletic Administration at Arizona State University and Concordia University Irvine respectively. He has experience as a basketball coach and trainer, and even operated a club basketball business! In the 4th grade, his teacher Mrs. Penticuff sparked his passion for learning with her engaging lessons and care for the students. Outside of his professional athletic endeavors, Robert also loves to play basketball recreationally, camp, explore new beach spots and he’s hoping to become a certified deep sea diver one day.
