Terri Kahn

Human Resources Director

Terri Kahn is a people person. A SLO County local, she is inspired by her mother—a history teacher—who instilled in her a love of learning from an early age. As a child, Terri often accompanied her mother to the Cal Poly library, where she was encouraged to explore new subjects and develop her academic curiosity, especially in history. That zest for learning led Terri to Virginia Tech, where she earned her B.A. in Human Development. After college, she moved back to the Central Coast and worked in the human resources department at Cal Poly before joining SLOCA in 2023. For Terri, the opportunity to bring her HR experience to the table in a meaningful way, and in an education and family-oriented setting, is nothing short of a dream come true. In her spare time, Terri is a professional vocalist and frequently tours SLO County with her band.
