Vanessa Beeler

HS Teacher - Math

If you need help with numbers, Vanessa Beeler is the one you want to call. As early as kindergarten, she started math courses to get ahead on the material. She then pursued her love of math and teaching by tutoring during college and spent three of her four years at Cal Poly working as a math workshop leader. At Cal Poly, Vanessa earned a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.S. in Mathematics, and a master’s degree in Mathematics. Before joining SLOCA in 2025, she thought she was going to teach college-level math. However, the small class sizes, virtue-driven learning, and emphasis on developing students as well-rounded individuals here inspired Vanessa and changed her path. Now that she’s mastered mathematics, Vanessa is embarking on the journey of learning piano and improving her language skills in Spanish, German, and Russian.
