As part of our year-long celebration of SLOCA’s 10th Birthday, we are hosting a series of festive dinner parties! The first event is coming up this month, with a Girls Night Out theme. Gina Levy is hosting this decadent evening, and has more to share today about what she has in store for the lucky guests:
What's more fun and, let's face it ladies, more necessary than a girls night out?! I am thrilled to host 10 fabulous ladies with a relaxing, care free evening of delicious food, wines, laughter and conversation. All under the stars in my beautiful backyard designed for events just like this! Anyone who knows me, knows that I enjoy throwing a great party!! I promise a wonderful memorable evening.
Since leaving my job as an interior designer when I had my children, cooking has become my artistic outlet. I love to cook healthy, delicious meals for my family and friends. Although I love to cook and eat foods from all cultures, my roots are in Italy. And after spending some time there this summer, including an amazing cooking class in Tuscany, I'm excited to share some of those recipes with you.
My favorite season for cooking is definitely the fall. Wonderful spices like pumpkin and cinnamon, squashes galore, so many incredible tastes and smells. That being said, I have decided to show off the season with a delicious Butternut Squash Lasagna that is sure to please everyone. Of course I'll have some tasty appetizers to start and a yummy dessert that will make all us ladies smile!
And ladies, let’s not forget the wine! Jeff Faber, of Opolo Vineyards, will be here making sure that no dish goes without a perfect pairing of vino. Salute!
