Happy almost weekend, everyone! Today’s post highlights one of SLOCA’s favorite sports league…our Kindergarten through 4th grade co-ed basketball! Our Athletic Director, Mark Nickodemus, has been developing this program for a few years and our students look forward to it every winter.
The K-4th basketball league caters to all experience levels from students who’s never touched a ball to athletes who are extremely coordinated for their age. Our kids are introduced to the world of basketball in a safe and fun environment. Yes, it can still get competitive but the goal for this level is to familiarize them to the team sport, go over basic rules and concepts, and learn key fundamentals…all while having a TON of fun! We want our kids to love sports and based on the giant smiles they had after each game, they are well on their way there! They had a blast!!
