Rhode Island and Roger Williams

It’s Monday and we are embarking on the last full month of the school year. With these beautiful spring days and all that is going on around us, it might be tempting to let school lose its place of priority. Hang in there!!! We are halfway through trimester 3 and there is still so much rich learning ahead of us. For instance, did you know that Rhode Island is the smallest state in the United States, but it has the longest name? Monday Mix-ins this week are all about how Rhode Island began and its founder Roger Williams.

Keep in mind: Despite their awesome alliterative title, Monday Mix-ins are not solely for Mondays. Out of necessity, our kids have been on screens a lot more these days. Why not use these enrichment resources to spark some history-related discussions over dinner or during the weekend? Use them however suits your family best. Happy learning!
