Friday is here – how is your break going? Hopefully you are getting some rest and relaxation, and some fun family time in the midst of holiday busyness. This weekend, slow down and fully enjoy the wonder of the season. That might mean staying home and watching classic Christmas movies with a mug of hot cocoa, making some of those fun holiday crafts with the kids, driving around to look at lights, or maybe enjoying an outing to the carousel in SLO Mission Plaza.
Here are just a couple more merry activities if you are looking to get out this weekend – click on each for more information:
Santa’s Secret Workshop at Smart Studio: Friday, 12/21, 11AM – 5PM. Here’s an opportunity for children who want to make an upcycled gift for a loved one this year.
Holiday Magic at Charles Paddock Zoo: Friday, 12/20 at noon, then Saturday, 12/22, 11AM – 2PM. Kids ages 7-12 can help make gifts for the zoo animals on Friday, then come back Saturday to watch the animals open the presents they made for them.
While we typically have more time with friends and family during this season, remember even over the break to make Free by 5:00 a priority, and schedule time to step away from electronics and connect with those loved ones face to face.
