It’s Magical Moment Monday, and today we want to share a poem with you, written by one of our students – Benjamin Harding, a Track B LMS student. Benjamin has an older sister, Virginia, in the High School program, and a younger sister, Evelyn, in Intermediate. His parents are Matt and Rosalyn Harding, and their family has been attending SLOCA since it’s very first year, making this their 8th year at the school.
Rosalyn shared that this poem was a school assignment, and that Benjamin chose to write about an inventor because he has always wanted to be an inventor. Since we are beginning our school-wide Invention Convention projects, we thought this was a very timely and appropriate contribution!
The Inventor
by Benjamin Harding
His hands tinker constantly
His pants are oil-stained and patched
His eyes focus on the metal bent askew
His mind, boundless and intelligent, continually having new ideas
He dreams of contributing to the future
He is an inventor
Thank you Benjamin, for sharing your creation with us! We will all be inspired as we research our chosen inventors and learn about the exciting changes that these inventions brought to our world.
