We often go to great lengths to help our kids connect with their buddies, but it can be trickier for us moms to carve out time to spend with our own close friends. So today’s Pause tip is to Connect. Be purposeful in planning some alone time with other adults in your life who love and support you, and have fun together! If you have young children, enlist the help of a spouse or sitter.
Meet up with a friend or two and to go a movie. Splurge and buy popcorn! Or enjoy a leisurely lunch together at a real sit-down restaurant. If you’re in the mood to frolic, try bowling or miniature golf together, or some other activity that makes you feel like a kid again. Get ice cream afterwards. Sometimes a simple walk together is a perfect way to share in each other’s lives and feel refreshed.
