Today’s simple Pause tip is to take a moment to Wonder. It’s all too easy to lose our sense of wonder as we grow, yet there is so much to amaze and delight us if we take the time to notice. We want to encourage that curiosity and wonder in our kids, so why not in ourselves too? Here are just a few suggestions:
- Stargaze while lying in the grass.
- Catch a spectacular sunset, and watch until the sun disappears under the horizon.
- Observe bugs closely with your kids.
- Take a walk by the ocean and really listen.
- Swing in a porch swing with your eyes closed.
- People watch while lounging at an outdoor cafe.
- Look for beauty, creativity, and inspiration in unexpected places…
