San Luis Obispo Classical Academy San Luis Obispo Classical Academy

Welcome to Down Home, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy’s blog! We are a classical school offering several options to make our education work for families with infants through high schoolers. Our signature hybrid program, which is part-time classroom and part-time home instruction, provides an engaging education for preschool through middle school (with full time options available). We also have a university model high school. This blog is meant to support and encourage on the home front because, in so many ways, the heart of what happens at SLO Classical Academy happens down home.

Semper discentes—always learning together.

Later today we will come together for our final History event of the year, with student performances of Julius Caesar and Antigone – come in your Roman togas and let’s celebrate as a community! See you from 4:30 – 6:30 pm on campus.

Here’s another community event: Tomorrow several of our students are playing in a beach volleyball tournament in Pismo Beach, and if you’d like to come out and watch the games we’d love the support! The tournament runs from 9 am-noon and will be located at the volleyball nets on the beach, north of the pier. Come on down for a beach day with the kiddos, and root for our SLOCA teams!

A few of the boys already participated in a tournament a few weeks ago, and we have some fun photos from that day to share with you:
