Welcome to Down Home, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy’s blog! We are a classical school offering several options to make our education work for families with infants through high schoolers. Our signature hybrid program, which is part-time classroom and part-time home instruction, provides an engaging education for preschool through middle school (with full time options available). We also have a university model high school. This blog is meant to support and encourage on the home front because, in so many ways, the heart of what happens at SLO Classical Academy happens down home.

Magical Moments: Pool Party with Mrs. Stowell

Happy Monday! We are going to finish off our Magical Moments for the year with photos from one more teacher auction item – this time it was a pool party at Mrs. Stowell’s house! Here are a few words and pics from Mrs. Stowell about her recent fun afternoon with the kids:

Perfect 85 degree day in North County – not too hot, not too cold! Seven of my students arrived for an afternoon of swimming and food. The kids had a blast swimming, playing basketball in the pool, and shooting water guns! I thought 3 hours might be too much pool time and that they might wander out to the trampoline and swings, but after hamburgers and popsicles they headed straight back to the pool! I had so much fun watching them have fun! So thankful to be a part of these sweet kids' lives!
