Friday is here, and before we let you go for the week we want to let you know about a couple of exciting opportunities coming up! Need to RSVP to help with History Day but don't know what to sign up for? (How about making decorations?) Still unsure about how to pull together costumes? Although yesterday we shared tips on making history day costumes, we can go one step further – check out these upcoming workshops:
History Day Medieval Feast Decorations Workshop
Resident art historian and parent Ariel Waterman will lead two workshops for making decor for History Day! They will begin at 2:30 in the library after school on Monday May 18th and on Tuesday May 19th. Come make a shield or banner that will be used as decoration at the Medieval Feast. Supplies will be provided, or bring your own fabric, poster board and shield or banner embellishments. It promises to be fun!
History Day Medieval Feast Costume Workshop
Resident art and costume historian Ariel Waterman will head costume-making workshops in the library beginning at 2:30 on Wednesday May 27 and Thursday May 28th. She will share creative tips on creating inexpensive medieval outfits for the whole family from things you may have at home. Come make hats and hennins, surcoats and tabards for the perfect costume for the Medieval Feast! Fun will be had and ye all will be clad!
Thank you Ariel, for leading these helpful workshops! We love how our school community comes together to make wonders happen.
