Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Our final Senior Project for the Class of 2021 is by Davis Rey.
Davis Rey: A Glance Through the Lens of Generation Z
My senior project focused on breaking down walls and establishing a sense of understanding across generations. The main target audience is Generation X and the Baby Boomers, however, something can be learned by anyone who cares to listen. The main reason I chose to go through with this project idea is that I wasn’t happy with the existing communication between generations. There has been quite a bit of strife between younger and older generations, especially between Generation Z and the Baby Boomer Generation. During my research process I learned various details about the way my generation acts, thinks, and feels. I gathered everything from hard statistics to personal, written responses sent in through the survey that I created. My greatest hope for my project is that it inspires people from across all generations to be open to discuss, share, and listen to one another. I don’t believe that we will be able to solve real world problems such as climate change without the collaboration of more than just one age group. I think it’s safe to say that the world is sort of crumbling all around us at this point and has been for awhile. If we can come together to rebuild then the journey will be so much easier to get to where we want to be.
