San Luis Obispo Classical Academy San Luis Obispo Classical Academy

Welcome to Down Home, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy’s blog! We are a classical school offering several options to make our education work for families with infants through high schoolers. Our signature hybrid program, which is part-time classroom and part-time home instruction, provides an engaging education for preschool through middle school (with full time options available). We also have a university model high school. This blog is meant to support and encourage on the home front because, in so many ways, the heart of what happens at SLO Classical Academy happens down home.

What’s up in our world | Athletics

Under the athletic direction of Mr. Robert Koon, our Grizzlies sports teams have been busy this Trimester! We love seeing our students work hard on and off the field.

Volleyball: Our High School Girls Volleyball team participated in their first CIF playoff. Congratulations Lady Grizzlies! The games have been amazing with both the A and B teams becoming more competitive with each game. The middle school girls have a home game at 4:15 pm vs. Shandon on Thursday, October 27th! The game is played at Loma Vista Gym, located at 2494 Pennington Creek Rd. in San Luis Obispo. Come cheer them on!

Soccer: During our season opener, our K-4 soccer teams did not disappoint! Cheered on by many family and friends, the four teams played hard while displaying incredible sportsmanship. The next game is Friday November 4 at 3:15 at SLOCA.

Flag Football: Last week family and friends cheered on the Middle School Flag Football game. The teams worked hard while practicing their incredible sportsmanship. This is turning out to be quite an amazing season for our hard working Grizzlies! Come check out our next game at 3:45 pm on October 26th vs. St. Rose @ the SLOCA Field!

Look at their intensity!

High School Football: This team is really coming together in victory! Come check out the next game at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 27th against Coastal Christian. There’s so much heart and SLOCA spirit on this team! You need to come experience it yourself!
