Underwater Animal Adventure
A week full of animal fun—get to know certain underwater animals through books, creative games, and outdoor fun.
Our highly qualified teachers lead small classes with a 1:8 ratio, blending a love of literature with art, science, and outdoor adventure as children explore a new theme each week. Our Preschool and Kindergarten Camps are filled with imagination, creativity, and joyful discovery, where magical stories and beloved children’s classics come to life through hands-on play. Campers build confidence and friendships through creative games, block play, and open-ended exploration, balanced with outdoor adventures that spark curiosity and movement. Enriching activities in art, science, and early math inspire wonder and a love of learning, and no two weeks are ever the same!

1st–6th Grade
Lego + Makerspace Camp: Secret Agent Academy
Join us as we build, code, and create! Using LEGO® builds, robotics, and SLOCA’s Makerspace, students will develop problem-solving skills and an engineering mindset through hands-on exploration. Activities are thoughtfully designed to match each child’s age and ability, ensuring both growth and enjoyment. Our two LEGO®/Makerspace camps give students multiple opportunities to apply their skills in new and exciting challenges.
Week 1: Are you ready to join the Secret Agent Academy?
Step into a week of exciting challenges designed to sharpen your camper’s problem-solving and sleuthing skills. Campers will crack codes, engineer spy gadgets, design robotic missions, and work together to escape clever challenges. Packed with creativity, collaboration, and innovation, SLOCA’s LEGO® Secret Agent Academy is an action-filled experience your student won’t want to miss!

Fairies + Gnomes
Explore magical gnomes and fairies where kids will rely on their imaginations and magical books, crafts, games, and more—both indoors and outdoors!

Week 2: We need more Superheroes!
For this week, students will engineer superhero tools, design vehicles and headquarters, sketch costumes, and solve problems that require teamwork and creativity. Through hands-on building and imaginative play, campers will strengthen critical-thinking skills while learning what it means to be a virtuous hero. SLOCA’s LEGO® Superhero School is an epic adventure your camper won’t want to miss!

Marvelous Makers
A week of crafts that will get the kids’ creativity flowing indoors and outdoors.

Adventure Camp/Fun in the Sun
At SLOCA, we believe summer is meant for good old-fashioned fun in the sun! Throughout the week, campers will split their days between off-site adventures exploring the unique nature and geography of the Central Coast, and on-campus activities such as water games, arts and crafts, a movie, and hands-on nature education. Each week will conclude with a special celebration, giving campers a chance to let loose, play, and celebrate a great week of summer fun.
Week 1 kicks off with a week full of exploration and creativity! Campers will take part in an age-appropriate hike as we explore the rich biodiversity of the Central Coast. When on campus, students will rotate through a variety of engaging activities, including guided crafts, team games, and delightfully messy challenges designed to encourage creativity and play. We’ll wrap up the week with a celebratory park day featuring snow cones, a bounce house, and water games—an exciting way to end a fantastic week together.
Please note: Campers will occasionally watch short educational or inspirational videos during the week. We typically include one movie per week to give students time to relax and recharge.
week 4: july 13-17

The World of Dr. Seuss
A whimsical summer camp inspired by Dr. Seuss where kids read playful stories, create colorful art projects, and dive into imaginative games in both indoor and outdoor settings that bring books to life.

An action-packed indoor-outdoor summer camp where spectacular superheroes inspire kids to read, create heroic art, and play imaginative games while saving the day together.

Around the U.S. Camp
Join us for our NEW camp, where students will wander the United States, exploring other places with wonder, interactive play, crafts, recipes, literature, and more! Students will learn more about our country through fun projects such as an exploding volcano in Hawaii, constructing the Erie Canal, or cooking grits in the South.
3rd–8th Grade
Musical Theater Camp*
*Musical Theater Camp is a 2-week commitment!
Join us for musical theater camp! This 2-week course introduces students to various elements and principles used in the process of theater production and appreciation of theater arts. This course will help students stimulate creativity, enhance empathy, increase teamwork ability, and develop self-confidence as they learn to act, sing and dance in preparing a show to be performed on the last day of camp! This year’s show will be DreamWorks Madagascar – A Musical Adventure, Kids. Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, it follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.

Hungry, Hungry Caterpillars
A vibrant summer camp inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, where kids enjoy storytime, create fun nature-themed art, and play imaginative games celebrating growth, color, and creativity.
